Since the place I live is a guest house for university guests who don’t want to stay in a hotel, but also don’t want to get an apartment there’s a decent turnover of residents at any given time. Wagner moved out on Monday, and they promptly had someone in his place that afternoon. Although she is a very nice old British woman, she is also pretentious and talked about Wagner’s wife in terms of ‘his woman’ and in when referring to Frau Keller finding one of the kids to talk to in order to see when they moved out as ‘she finally grabbed one of the children’. Granted, the lady woke up early to come from Greece – but I doubt she would have referred to a British family in the same terms. Though she appreciated that took her to the grocery, she complained quite a bit … And then I may have almost killed her bringing her up the hill on the walk back. She’s only here for 2 weeks, so its not too bad.

Anyway, I wanted to give a brief of the other guests.

Ali – Friendly and knowledgeable professor biochemist from Pakistan using a lab here to conduct experiments he can’t from home. Extremely passionate about equality across national borders in science.

Eli – Philosophy professor from Congo

Larissa – Numismatics professor from Uzbekistan

Tepan – Ph.D. student from Calcutta researching black-hole physics. Very kind, with no understanding of western borders for associating people (see: rubbing random kids heads on the street).

Alexander – German lawyer renting a room here as he continues his search for an apartment

Italian dude -

I’ll keep you posted as they come and go.
